Thank you for visiting my website!  I would like to tell you about my passion and myself.​

As a young girl I was fascinated with beauty and hair salons.  Walking past beauty shops, I watched in amazement as the professionals did their work.  Back at home, in my makeshift salon, I would experiment with ingredients such as oatmeal and avocado, formulating my own special facial masks.  My family members were my first clients to be pampered at my salon.  My grandmother's words to my mom were that she believed one day I would become a beautician, and she was right!

I grew up on a grape farm between Keimoes and Kakamas.  After matriculating at Keimoes High School in 1995, I completed a Business Assistant course at Boland College.  In 1998 I took the first step on the road to becoming a beautician.  I enrolled at the Isa Carstens Health and Beauty Academy in Stellenbosch.  After qualifying as a beautician in 1999, I ventured into my first position.   Between 2000 and 2005 I worked as a beautician at an Annique Beauty Salon in Bellville, owned by Mrs. Lettie Visser.  She played a significant role in my life and added some sparkle to my vision to realise another dream of having my own beauty salon.  In 2006 I had the privilege of starting Linique Beauty salon from my apartment in central Stellenbosch.

I have been blessed with amazing clients who support me in my work and, hopefully, I have added a touch of sparkle and nurture to their beauty routine.

​

Over the years clients and friends frequently asked me for advice relating to their hair.  I then realised that it was something I would really enjoy doing, so my mom encouraged me to complete a course in hairdressing, which I finished in 2009.  I am very grateful for Hugo Bornman who is currently helping me to develop my hair cut, color and styling skills at his hair salon, Hugo Anywhere, Stellenbosch.

 

I have partial hearing loss, but with the help of hearing aids, I can hear.  This is a whole story on its own, please feel free to ask more about this.  I shall be happy to tell you more about it!  In light of my hearing difficulty, please send me an e-mail or sms to schedule an appointment instead of doing so by telephone call.

My approach is to be natural and simple in order to bring out the best features of a client's beauty and hair.  I am happy when my clients are satisfied and relaxed, especially when they take a nap during a treatment - this is a huge compliment to me.

I am forever grateful to our Heavenly Father for making this all possible for me.  Thank you to every clients who supports me at Linique, I appreciate it so much!
